THURSDAY FORUM SERIES
Courtney Rouse-Heinz is the Executive Director for Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Alabama in Mobile, Alabama. She supports the geographic area of Mobile, Clarke, and Washington counties. Courtney has been with Habitat for eleven years and recently became the Executive Director of the affiliate.
Courtney was raised in Mobile where she graduated from Murphy High School. She then attended the University of South Alabama where she studied political science and history. Courtney began her career as a counselor for a therapeutic school in Huntsville, Alabama before relocating back to her hometown in 2005. She began working for Habitat in 2006 as the Family Service Coordinator. Courtney met her husband while working in Huntsville and they married in 2006. Their son is now seven years old and attends St. Luke’s Episcopal School.
Courtney and her family are passionate about serving Mobile, and volunteer for multiple agencies along the Gulf Coast; however, helping low income families in the community find safe, decent, and affordable housing continues to be their driving passion.
