Presbyterian Women

Presbyterian Women (PW) is an independent organization within the Presbyterian Church (USA) of more than 300,000 women. The programming and resource options for the organization offer a variety of ways for women to live out their faith in an inclusive, caring community. Our PW members are active at every level of leadership in the organization.

For over 200 years PW groups have joined the Presbyterian Church and played a major role in sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, witnessing to the promise of God’s Kingdom. For additional information on the national PW go to pcusa.org/pw.

Presbyterian Women of Government Street are an active and vibrant group in the life of our congregation. The Circles (small groups) meet each month from September through May for fellowship and Bible Study. Meetings are held at the church, in member’s homes and at local restaurants: in the mornings, at noon and at night.

Our PW supports local shelters, hospitals (here and abroad), Presbyterian seminaries and colleges, Church Women United, Mission Haven and Family Promise (Interfaith Hospitality Network).
