The Pastor's Class    

In the Parlor, with Dr. Sinclair. Summer session began Sunday, July 4th at 9:30 a.m.

Description:  "Moral Dilemmas - An Introduction to Christian Ethics" by J. Phillip Wogaman will be read
and discussed during the summer months.  This class will run through September 5.

 

Summer Lectionary Class with Reverend Ryan Jensen  

Located in the Frist Room, 2nd floor of the church, this class began on July 11 and is open to everyone.

 

The Covenant Class

This class will continue to meet the Hitchcock Room (MPR) on the second floor through the summer.
Beginning September 5, it will move to the Frist Room.  

Description:  Designed for men and women 40+ years old.
Curriculum:   Romans
Leader:          Jim Hood

 

Men's Dubose Class

Location:  Meets in the Guesnard House, 1st floor, adjacent to the church parking lot.

Description:  Designed for men of all ages.

Presbyterian Youth Connection (PYC) - Junior High Schoolers

Description:   Youth, grades 6th through 8th
                          Fall instructors:  Dr. Laurie Shorter and Rev. Kathryn Threadgill

Location:        2nd floor Guesnard House

Presbyterian Youth Connection (PYC) -Senior High Schoolers

Description:  Youth, grades 9th through 12th
                         Fall instructor:  Paula Sinclair

Children's Classes*  

Location:  Three classrooms in the children's area, Main Floor     classroom I    classroom II   classroom III

Description:  Children, ages 4 through the 5th grade

Curriculum:  

* Wee Worship is offered for children ages 4 through First Grade during worship.
After the Children's Sermon, children are escorted from the sanctuary to the children's area
on the Main Floor to participate in Bible lessons, music, and enrichment activities.

Toddlers' Class

Location:  Toddlers' classroom in children's area, Main Floor    toddler room

Description:  Children, ages 2 and 3

Curriculum:  

 

Nursery Care

Location:  Two nurseries in children's area, Main Floor     crib nursery

Description:  Nursery for ages 6 weeks through 3 years old.  Available during Sunday school, worship, and special events.
 

 

Additional Classes

 

Women's Monday Morning Bible Study 

This group meets in the Parlor from 8 - 9 AM on Mondays.  For more information,
contact Casi Callaway at 209-4253.
     This class is on summer hiatus until August 16.

 

Women's Tuesday Morning Disciple Group

Meets on Tuesdays from 10:00-11:30 a.m. in the Parlor/Library on the 1st floor. The Disciple Bible Study series has been used frequently along with other studies focusing on the Bible.   
     This class is on summer hiatus.

West Mobile's Men's Tuesday Morning Bible Study 

This group meets on Tuesday mornings from 7 -- 8 a.m. at Rudy Nordmann's home.
For more information, call Ryan Jensen at 434-9329.  
     This study is on summer hiatus until August 3.

 

Young Men's Wednesday Morning Bible Study 

Led by Dr. George Sinclair, this group meets on Wednesday mornings in the Parlor from 7-8 a.m.  
     This study is on summer hiatus until August 18.
 

 Men's Disciple Class

Meets on Wednesday evenings from 6-7:00 p.m. in the Parlor on the Main Floor.
The Disciple Bible Study
series has been used frequently along with other studies focusing on the Bible.
 

 Men's Friday Morning Breakfast and Bible Study

Led by Dr. George Sinclair, this group meets on Friday mornings in the Parlor from 7-8 a.m.,
and is comprised of men ages 30-50. Breakfast is served from 7- 7: 15 a.m.
     This study is on summer hiatus until August 20.
 

Young Women's Group

This group meets monthly.  Contact Kathryn Threadgill for details.

 Presbyterian Women Monthly Bible Study 

Women at GSPC are invited to join one of five circles. Circles meet on the second week of each month, Fall-Spring.
Four circles meet during the day and one at night. The study for 2009-2010 is:  Joshua: A Journey of Faith
